Heester graduated in the field of landscape architecture, followed by his master degree at the Academy of Architecture -part of the Amsterdam University of the Arts.
Artworks by Heester have been exhibited in musea, art platforms and public spaces in the Netherlands. He won a prize in an international architecture competition. His visions have been published in national and internationally architectural magazines. He produced and created as an independent artist and invited guest artist, and led an art-project in the public space of Amsterdam as an urbanist/project leader.


Works by Heester can be categorized into the following fields of expression.
-Architecture/urbanism.
Works are materialised in competitions, models, concepts, publications and realized arch./urban plans.
-Sculpture.
Mostly conceptual works in a figurative and expressionists style.
-Land art.
Spatially constructed, mostly in an abstract and minimalists style. Photographically documented.
