Jeroen Heester is an award winning architect, publicist and artist.
Works by Heester have been exhibited in musea and art platforms in the Netherlands. According to Heester we are all celebrating our duality mindset and accept not being able to escape from it.
Heester has been working for 18 years as an urban planner and landscape architect for the Central Planning Department of Amsterdam. At this moment he is working for the municipality of Zaanstad as strategic city developer.
Ten years ago his findings concerning urban planning lead him to deeper investigate our motives. After his focus on social psychology he finally accepted the arts as an effective field of investigation.
In his studies and experiments so far, Heester has focussed on the duality mindset in relation to human culture. Moral relativism and relativity played important roles in his search for a minimalistic approach of the duality mindset.
At this moment Heester is focussing on the interactions between cultural- and natural processes to feed his vision on architecture.
