Publicated text:
How on earth can a city show its pain and beg for mercy? Cities try so hard to be wonderful. Some of them even dream of becoming fantastic! However, real estate is an investment and it is human nature to be greedy. Unsolicited and without the permission of its inhabitants the city serves another goal now. Profit and juridical certainties minimize the urban landscape to the bare functional minimum. We are all witnessing the design of place to be murdered for the sake of fear and finance. All spatial design related professions are to be part of the grand killing machine that destroys emotion. Instruments to rise up against these forces are strategically dismantled by management bureaucracy and market forces. How on earth can we stand against it? The day that cities no longer consist of emotion seems nearby. Current urban planning is killing it. Inspired by the conventional city grid, the loudest scream for help ever is awakened. Urban phantasm by means of air duties instead of air rights enables this drama to show its self. Meanwhile, streams of water pour down the eyes of the tortured body as everyday street life continues. Stockholm.
Title: inverse echo.
2006

The design proposes an inverse spatial reproduction of the exterior of the existing library. The inverse echo celebrates the caratheristic exterior of the existing library and spatially connects to it by representing its cast. Giant window-walls and a rustique roof terrace provide the city with an interior and exteriors belvedere over the existing city. All other existing buildings are respectfully maintained by the echo-ing volume. As a consequence, the basement-floors of the existing buildings are connceted to a new additional basement-floor lever, generating a rustique library-hall with catherdral alike lightinfiltration by the two existing annex buildings.

The project proves functional and efficient citydesign by its outcome of unplanned aspects of beauty.
The project experiments with the use of rational parameters and their practical use and outcome.
Fundamentally framed by infrastructural orientation and capacity.
